What happened to mathandtext?

June 21, 2006 pm30 7:35 pm

I enjoyed reading and sometimes commenting on jd fisher's mathandtext blog. But, alas, it has been replaced by a nearly blank page. Did it collapse? Was it stolen? Has he resurfaced?

If you have the answers, leave a comment.

(Here's the old link, but it goes to an icky page now: mathandtext.blogspot.com)

edit: The link now goes to what appears to be a commercial site, not very interesting. I am hiding my link to it. Has anyone seen jd Fisher reappear anywhere?

edit: And a commenter found him:

The new URL and a name change:

http://www.textsavvy.blogspot.com/

I was sad to see it come up empty and I have no idea what where JD went. It was one of my favorite blogs. The title of the blog has been changed but the URL is the same. There are two current posts there that are so devoid of content that they almost appear satirical.

topics look good, but the name is different, and there is no explanation. hmm. All the old stuff is gone, but the links look at least similar. I am going to look this one over.

I emailed JD directly and that was the link he sent me in his reply email. I did get my math/philosophy fix today at that site. The entry on long division led to a discussion, at my house not with JD, about what the difference between “conceptual” and “heuristic” is.
