Dead Links
September 18, 2006 am30 6:45 am
From time to time I notice that some of my links are dead. Perhaps I entered them wrong. Perhaps the URL changed.
I will fix dead links, if I know about them. (Today I fixed a link to the court decision on the Pennsylvania age discrimination case; it had never worked because I misformatted the url.) But I have to know about it to fix it.
If you see a dead link, be a champ and let me know. Thanks.

Of course you have the right to do what you like. However, it’s like me lumping you in with the Unity educrats such as Leo Casey, CitySue, Malise, etc. While I might support some of the ICE platform and may even run as a delegate, as a reaction to Unity’s uncaring concern of the classroom teacher. I always thought that dialogue between us was professional and informative.
I would have never let someone say this about you without objecting quite loudly. But it didn’t seem to bother you, Norm, or NYC Educator when it was directed to me.
I thought that I could reasonably discuss ways to make our union stronger with people I did not necessarily agree with on many issues. But if that sort of abuse of a chapter leader is okay with you, than the conversation is probably not okay with me. I’ll think about it, but for now let me say that I expected better.
Jonathan:
I am more anti-Unity than pro ICE and I have always stated that as an independent moderate I am uncomfortable with many of the platforms associated with both factions. As for what Norm stated about you, based upon my knowledge of you through your blog and comments, is untrue and unfair. My lack of response was not an acceptance of what he said, rather it was my being unaware of the significance of his comment..
I think early in our interactipon I said I would be proud for you to be a Chapter Leader in my school and that statement still applies.
The comment was schoolgal’s not Norm’s. But Norm, NYC Educator, and you all kept talking as if it wasn’t there. And you all knew it was untrue and unfair. You said you missed the significance. She said “…people like you who don’t give a crap about the rest of us.” maybe the context wasn’t there for you (we were in a back and forth), and I will take you at your word.
NYC Educator is the blog owner. Norm is a retiree. At least for now, they get no slack.
I noticed ICE supporters going off half-cocked on their blog. Your favorite chapter leader had to step in to control the comments. ICE gets no slack from me either.
But I’ve restored the link to you (and fwiw, to TJC)
Jonathan:
I know you are upset over Schoolgal’s comment (tells you how clueless I was about the comment that I associated it to the wrong person – sorry Norm). nyc educator and I probably disagree more than we agree due to our political views. However, that is what makes the exchange of information more interesting. Further, I will not be a hypocrite, I have, at times been less than polite to some of the Unity hacks and they to me but I have never censered them from my blog. Of course they cannot say the same.
I only speak for myself but lumping the rest of the bloggers to Schoolgirl’s comments is like me lumping Peter Goodman (who I respect if not always agree with) with Leo Casey (who is clueless about the classroom and much more) because they both represent Edwize.
Thank you for keeping our line of communication open. You are a very important link in my blog.
