Güle güle!

Join me in wishing a pleasant journey to Oğretmen. This Bronx science teacher is relocating to İstanbul for a one-year teaching exchange. What an opportunity!
I was in İstanbul for a week in July (I should blog a bit about it later). It was absolutely wonderful and frustratingly short.
I took ferries every chance I got. Which meant every day, usually twice. This is a typical view.
Anyhow, oğretmen means teacher in Turkish, and ours is going to blog from the Anatolian side of the city. Good writing, and much better pictures than mine. Take a look.

I just wanted to frist of all really apologize to all the wonderful teachers that were destroyedby the experince of teaching at eximius. As a student i seethe plee of the teachers everyday as they drag thier tried bodies to clock-in for another 8-hrs of tourture. It so sad how one persons lack of responability can negatively affect a group of peoples lives.
Thier is no level of respect or discipline in eximius every child runs wild, with the exception of a few hard workers. If you saw the middle you almost have no choice but to shed tears, b/c these childern have no hope. Some come from homes were no one is invested in their education, then unfortunately they end up in a place like eximius were the admin only cares about making a name for themselves and another paycheck. So the hallways and classrooms are filled w/ children of darkness b/c were they should be recieving a chance to see a better life through education they are taught to focus on sperficial things like uniform.
